By car, from Lochmaddy and the north, take the A865
south through Benbecula and South Uist towards Lochboisdale. Dun Buide is found by taking the B888 turning right off
the main B892 at Daliburgh.
Proceed south and turn right when you see the signs to An Leth Meadhanach.
Zoom into the largest scale map for the exact position (Journey time 1 hour). From the
ferry at Eriskay head north onto the B888 to south Uist across the causeway and turn left when you
see the signs for An Leth Meadhanach (Journey time 20 minutes).
Lochboisdale is the main ferry terminal on South Uist and is 10 minutes from Dun Buidhe, theb cottage can also be reached by plane from Glasgow.
Caledonian Macbrayne passenger/car ferry run from Oban directly
to Lochboisdale throughout the year, view the timetable. Ferrys also run from Uig in Skye to Lochmaddy on
North Uist, view the timetable. Ferry also runs from Barra. The nearest airport is
on Benbecula, view details.The airport is situated on the North of the Island on the
